Between Monday, October 26, and Sunday, November 1, 2026, the Huntly Ops Mission Control infrastructure processed daily pump price listings from more than 6,700 service stations across Italy, Spain, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Canada (Quebec). The week leading into the All Saints long weekend brings the first tangible signs of an autumn respite: petrol retreated across every monitored market — led by sharp declines in the United Kingdom (-2.5p/L), Portugal (-3.9¢/L), and France (-2.6¢/L) — while eurozone unleaded slipped back below the psychological threshold of €2.00/L (€1.994/L).

🇮🇹 Italy: Petrol on the Brink of €2.00 (€2.008/L) and New Records in Rome and Verona

In Italy, the week delivered a long-awaited trend reversal: national average petrol dropped from €2.015/L (Monday 26) to €2.008/L (Sunday, November 1), while diesel shaved more than two cents off its Thursday peak (€2.264/L), closing the week at €2.241/L.

Across individual metropolitan forecourts, Huntly's radar captured massive spreads against provincial averages:

• In Rome, the independent station (Pompa Bianca) at Via degli Angeli 190 held onto the capital's unleaded record at €1.569/L (€21.95 saved on a 50-litre fill-up compared to the national average), while Esso at Via Aurelia 2 shone early in the week at €1.709/L for both fuels.
• In Verona, the Q8 station at Via Unità d'Italia 350 led nationwide combined value with €1.589/L on petrol (-€20.95 per tank) and €1.638/L on diesel, unlocking net savings of €30.15 on 50 litres of diesel fuel!
• In Bergamo (ENI Via Baioni 76 at €1.668/L petrol and €1.649/L diesel) and Naples (ENI Via Diocleziano 31 at €1.699/L petrol and €1.719/L diesel), competitive pricing remained strong.
• Other monitored urban centres showing weekend discounts included Turin (ENI Corso Romania at €1.859/L), Taranto (Tamoil Cannata 4 at €1.919/L), Bologna (REL11 Via Marescotti at €1.964/L), Rimini (€1.966/L), Venice Mestre (€1.969/L), and Palermo (€1.977/L).

🇪🇸 Spain: Zaragoza and Seville Smash Below €1.48/L on Petrol!

In Spain, aggressive competition among automated independent forecourts produced a historic milestone: while the national average held firm around €1.724/L for petrol and €1.896/L for diesel, two major metropolitan hubs broke below the traditional €1.489/L coastal pricing floor over the weekend!

• In Zaragoza, the Plenergy forecourt at Avenida de la Diagonal 12 slashed petrol to an incredible €1.479/L (diesel at €1.699/L), taking 1st place in the entire Eurozone for the cheapest petrol!
• In Seville, Petroprix and Plenergy on Calle Metalurgia dropped to €1.487/L for petrol and €1.687/L for diesel.
• Málaga, Alicante, and Palma de Mallorca tied for third place on petrol (€1.489/L) but remain Europe's undisputed champions for cheap diesel at €1.399/L.
• Notable discounts also appeared in Barcelona (Galp Passeig Zona Franca at €1.559/L petrol and €1.779/L diesel), Murcia (€1.569/L petrol), and Madrid (Ballenoil Camino Pozo del Tío Raimundo at €1.589/L petrol and €1.749/L diesel).

🇩🇪 Germany: Calm Across Forecourts with Petrol Down to €2.026/L

Following mid-October price spikes, the German market experienced a steady easing: petrol slid from €2.054/L (Tuesday 27) down to €2.016–€2.026/L over the weekend, while diesel held flat at €2.243/L.

• In Munich, Cologne, and Düsseldorf, low-cost supermarket filling windows confirmed rates of €1.639/L for petrol and €1.529/L for diesel.
• Urban stations in Berlin (JET Am Tierpark at €1.919/L, Supermarkt Bessemer Str. at €1.949/L), Leipzig (Globus SB at €1.938/L), Stuttgart (ORLEN Express at €1.939/L), Hamburg (HEM at €1.929/L), and Frankfurt (€1.959/L) recorded solid cuts.

🇫🇷 France: Steady Petrol Declines to €2.132/L and Diesel Below €2.36/L

In France, trends remained distinctly favourable for petrol drivers: the national average shed another 2.6 euro cents over seven days, dropping from €2.158/L on Monday 26 to €2.132/L on Sunday, November 1. Diesel, after peaking at €2.389/L on Friday 30, retreated to close the week at €2.360/L.

• In Lille, TotalEnergies on Rue Roger Salengro remains unmatched nationwide at €1.685/L (petrol) and €1.725/L (diesel), saving €22.35 on petrol and €31.75 on diesel versus national averages.
• In Paris, the forecourt at 3-5 Avenue de la Porte d'Asnières posted €1.880/L for petrol and €2.200/L for diesel.
• Notable diesel relief was noted in Marseille (Bd Henri Barnier), Nantes, Bordeaux, and Toulouse, where supermarket forecourts dropped diesel from €2.250/L to €2.150/L.

🇬🇧 United Kingdom: Noticeable Price Cuts (£1.679/L) and New Lows in Glasgow

A week of decisive cuts across the United Kingdom (£/L): beginning Thursday, October 29, national averages stepped down, moving petrol from £1.704/L to £1.679/L (-2.5p/L) and diesel from £1.965/L to £1.936/L (-2.9p/L).

• In Birmingham, AppleGreen forecourts (Kingstanding Road & Hagley Road West) lead Europe at £1.368/L for petrol and £1.438/L for diesel.
• Top performers followed in London (Esso London Road at £1.519/L petrol, £1.869/L diesel), Leeds (£1.529/L), Manchester (£1.539/L), Edinburgh (£1.599/L), and Glasgow (Asda Monument Drive at £1.689/L petrol, £1.937/L diesel).

🇵🇹 Portugal: Petrol Plunges by Nearly 4 Cents (€2.080/L)

Portugal posted the sharpest petrol decline in Southern Europe: average mainland rates plummeted from €2.119/L on Monday to €2.080/L on Sunday (-3.9¢/L). Diesel, after an early rise to €2.109/L, retreated to €2.088/L.

• In Setúbal, Auchan Monte Belo led Portugal with €1.599/L on petrol and €1.569/L on diesel (€26.00 saved per diesel tank).
• In Lisbon, suburban Pingo Doce and Alves Bandeira stations averaged €1.639/L petrol and €1.609/L diesel.
• In Porto and Braga, low-cost chains Intermarché, Prio, and Gaspe held firm between €1.629/L and €1.649/L.
• In Coimbra and Leiria, prices averaged €2.045/L petrol and €2.070/L diesel, while Faro and Funchal experienced higher logistical overheads.

🇨🇦 Canada (Quebec): Petrol Steady at 1.699 CAD/L (€1.206/L)

In Quebec, regular gasoline stayed flat at 1.699 CAD/L (approx. €1.206/L at current exchange rates), exhibiting zero fluctuation across the full seven days.

• In Montreal and Laval, Costco and Ultramar clubs led the market at 1.579 CAD/L (€1.121/L).
• Diesel settled at 1.789 CAD/L (€1.270/L), confirming Canada as the lowest-cost market in Huntly's global network.
